Anonymous asked: This is the same anonymous who asked the question about Logan and Veronica. Yoy didn't like Piz either? Good! I thought that I was the only one. I really, really, really, like extremely really want Logan and Veronica to be together in this movie. I never get tired of seeing them together. However, now that all of these actors have aged a number of years, do you think that it will somehow mess with the image of the movie? That's what my mom's worried about. I'm gonna definitly see it in theatres!
Nooo, you’re not the only one who hates Piz. Duncan probably has more fans than Piz. Quoth my friend Susan, “Only one person shares [Rob’s] excitement and that’s Chris Lowell.” And the basic plot of the movie involves a Neptune High reunion — and Piz didn’t go there, obviously — so that might mean at the start of the movie, Piz is still with Veronica, which is nauseating, especially since that means 9 years together. But I can forgive it if Logan and Veronica are endgame.
As for the time jump, I don’t think it’ll hurt the movie at all. The show ended in ‘07, the actors were mostly if not all already older than the characters they were playing, so aesthetically, not a problem. And Rob said that Veronica hasn’t seen Logan in 9 years, which is exciting for tension. That’s a fanfic dream come true. What’s more awkward to me is the casting of characters I don’t remember (Luke?…). To be fair, I don’t remember all my own classmates. Excited about Krysten Ritter’s casting though. I wasn’t especially enamored by Gia Goodman but Krysten’s been great on TV since VM (Breaking Bad, Don’t Trust the B) so welcome back.
btw, if you don’t know, it’s not going to have a nationwide theatrical release; unless I’m misinformed, it’s only going to have a New York and Los Angeles premiere. And then there’s the digital download and DVD for those of us that couldn’t afford those premiere tickets.
